Arsenal and compare
Checked on build 26052592
On this page
Compare puts up to four Broken Arrow units side by side, stat by stat, and marks the best value in each row that has one. Worked out by this site You fill it from the Arsenal, whose search, filters and sorting narrow every unit down to the few you want. Worked out by this site
Searching the Arsenal
The Arsenal has one search box, and Ctrl+K or ⌘K jumps to it. Worked out by this site Search keeps the units whose names match, closest first, and forgives typos and missing punctuation: "btr82" finds the BTR-82. Worked out by this site It also knows the names a loadout gives a unit; the tile then says "Matched" with that name and opens the unit with that loadout. Worked out by this site
While you search, the page notes: "Best match first. Choose a sort to order by it instead." Picking a sort hands the order back to it. Worked out by this site
Above the grid, category chips (All, then each category with its count) narrow the grid to one or several categories, and "Clear categories" lifts them. A line below counts the units shown out of the total. Worked out by this site
Filters
Filters opens a panel, and a badge on the button counts how many filters are on. Worked out by this site
- Faction: one or both. Worked out by this site
- Battalion: a tick list, grouped by faction. Worked out by this site
- Max cost: a slider; at its far end there is no limit. Worked out by this site
- Include DLC: a switch that hides DLC units when off. Worked out by this site
- Fits in: pick a transport to keep only the units it can carry. Worked out by this site
- Carries: pick a unit to keep only the transports that can carry it. Worked out by this site
"Clear all" resets these, but leaves your categories and search alone. Worked out by this site Fits in and Carries also show as chips above the grid, each with a button to remove it, and while one is on the category counts count what it leaves, so you can split transports by kind. Worked out by this site A unit page's Transport panel links to the same two filters. Worked out by this site
Every filter, sort and search is written into the address, so a filtered view is a link you can share. Worked out by this site
Sorting
The sort menu orders by Name, Cost, Kin front, Best pen or Speed. Worked out by this site A unit without the figure sorts last. Worked out by this site Each tile shows the same three figures: kinetic front armour, best penetration and speed (see Kinetic armour, Best penetration and Speed). Worked out by this site Speed is road speed for ground units and airspeed for helicopters and planes. Worked out by this site
Pinning units
Press Select to turn tiles into toggles: a tap now picks a unit instead of opening it, and Done ends the mode. Worked out by this site Your picks gather in a dock at the bottom of the screen, each with a button to drop it, beside Clear, Duel and Compare. Worked out by this site
You can pick up to four; a fifth is not added. Worked out by this site Compare works with two to four and reads "Compare 3" for three. Duel needs exactly two, and a disabled button says why: "Pick one more" or "Duelling takes exactly two". Worked out by this site
A unit page's Compare button opens compare with that unit alone. With one unit there is nothing to beat, so no row is marked. Worked out by this site An empty compare page says "Nothing pinned. Pick units in the Arsenal and they will appear here." Worked out by this site Compare's own address lists the pinned units, so a comparison can be shared. Worked out by this site
Compare's rows
Each column is headed by the unit's portrait, name, faction, category, battalion and cost, with badges for its active protection and smoke. The header stays in view as you scroll the table. Worked out by this site
The rows come in five groups: Worked out by this site
| Group | Rows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Cost |
| Survivability | Health, Kinetic and HEAT armour for front, sides, rear and top, Armour |
| Mobility | Speed, Cross-country speed, Reverse speed, Acceleration, Turn rate, Amphibious, Air-droppable |
| Vision | Ground, Low-altitude and High-altitude optics |
| Firepower | Weapons, Best penetration, Best damage, Aim time (quickest weapon), Longest ground, low-air and high-air range |
Every row's label has an ⓘ that explains it. Worked out by this site Optics and ranges are shown as the game shows them. Worked out by this site A dash means the unit has no such value, never zero. Worked out by this site The Armour row fills only for a unit with an armour value. Worked out by this site Infantry, helicopters and the A-10 have one, and it counts for every side; a ground vehicle has none, and its protection is its facing armour. From the game's code See protection, mobility and detection.
Below the table, each unit's armament is listed in the same weapons table as its unit page. Worked out by this site See weapons.
The "best" marks
The best value in a row is bold, coloured and carries ▲. Worked out by this site
- Higher is best for most rows. For "Aim time, quickest weapon", lower is best. Worked out by this site
- Cost, Weapons, Amphibious and Air-droppable are never marked. Worked out by this site
- A value shared by every unit is not marked; when two units tie for best, both are. Worked out by this site
- A missing value never wins. Worked out by this site
A mark says which number is highest or lowest, not which unit is better at a job. Worked out by this site
Showing only differences
Tick "Show only rows where they differ" to hide every row in which all the units carry the same value. Worked out by this site With it off, those tied rows stay, faded. Worked out by this site The setting is not kept in the link. Worked out by this site
Loadouts in compare
Below the table, each unit has a loadout panel: pick options slot by slot, see the Total and how far it is over base, and Reset that unit. Worked out by this site Every row and the armament follow the loadout you pick. Worked out by this site "Reset loadouts", above the table, returns every unit to its default. Worked out by this site See loadouts.
Loadouts in compare are not kept in the link: a shared comparison, or a reload, opens on default loadouts. Worked out by this site The duel does keep them. Worked out by this site
With exactly two units pinned, "Simulate a duel between these two" opens the duel with the pair. Worked out by this site It carries the units, not the loadouts you chose here. Worked out by this site
